Beyond Assumptions

“For in the background figures vague and vast of patriarchs and of prophets rose sublime, and all the great traditions of the past they saw reflected in the coming time.” – Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

About

I am a 26 year old male with a Masters degree completed in English and a second Masters degree in Library and Information Science. I hail from Long Island, New York and am currently living in diaspora somewhere in the hellish cold of New England. I write speculative fiction, and graduated from the Clarion Science Fiction Writing Workshop in 2004.

This is a literature blog where I will share my thoughts about the books I read. You are forewarned that I publish spoilers. If you fail to read this page before hand? Tough luck. I sometimes delve into interrelated topics like philosophy, history, art, religion, my writing, politics, my personal life, and anything else I feel like talking about. The majority of my entries will probably be spent tracking the books I’ve read for the year.

I would love to see discussions about any of the topics I post. Comments from strangers are more than welcome! So don’t be shy if you have something to opine.  I don’t predict much violent debate, but this is a free speech zone. Dissent, discussion, and disagreement are welcome, but try to keep a civil tone and respect your interlocutor and keep on topic please!
