Code Geass, a Mecha anime about an exiled prince who is a military strategic genius and has the power to control people’s minds (exactly one time) is back on. Watch him lead the Japanese rebellion against the Britania Empire that abandoned him for his own personal quest of revenge!!! It’s back on people! Do you HEAR me! The first season ended with a huge cliffhanger. This was easily the best anime of 2006-2007! There is not enough exclamation points that can express my love for this anime.
Code Geass and the last season of Battlestar Galactica, plus the new season of South Park! If I wasn’t so busy and stressed out with school I might be extremely blissful right about now.

I haven’t watched Code Geass season 2 but I must say that season one’s one of the nicest anime I’ve seen though I’m not a fan of CLAMP and it surprised me a great deal to find out that they’re the ones who created this anime.
Maybe you’d like to watch the Gundam saga, too. Lots of mecha action, plus interesting stands on political stuffs.
The 2nd season was good, but a bit uneven. Certain parts felt extremely rushed. Other parts I thought deserved more explanation. They went the predictable everyone gets a new super mecha upgrade that most mecha animes do these days. I wasn’t thrilled about certain directions in which they took the show. However, the actual ending itself, the very last episode was fantastic and perfect.
I’ve seen many of the Gundams. The only Gundam I really liked was Seed. Wing was okay. G Gundam was weird. The original series, which I watched in movie form, and Z Gundam was too slow. I should give the original series a try again. But I loved Gundam Seed for some reason. The first series anyway. Destiny was another mixed bag.
The only anime I am following right now really is Bleach. I tried Gundam 00 last season. Made it halfway through and there were points that interested me, but not enough to keep me watching.
I’ve only watched Gundam Wing, and I’m currently watching Gundam X After War. Gundam Seed has really nice graphics. I’ve been wanting to watch it but I have to find the time to do so.
Hmmm.. Bleach. Kinda nostalgic. I gave up on that anime when the fillers started. I really hate it when creators make the series longer just so they can rake in more money.
It would be very interesting if you post reviews of the anime you’ve watched.
Oh and if you’re looking for serious anime, perhaps “Full Metal Alchemist” will interest you. There’s a second season now “FMA:Brotherhood”.
Hoping to read more of your thoughts on anime as I find your comments on Litnet very interesting. See you around!
I’ve already seen the original Fullmetal Alchemist series. I enjoyed it, but didn’t love the ending. Thanks for the tip about the new series coming out.
I don’t watch the Bleach filler arcs. I simply skip over them, and wait for the main story to resume. I don’t think it is profit that motives the inclusion of the fillers. The anime is following the manga. They turn to fillers when they catch up with the storyline in the manga so the manga can have time to get ahead.
Im still figuring the name of the characters from the school.
R2 got a little TOO twisty IMO. I got so you did not know who to root for. Even the person you rooted for the previous episode may no longer be someone you can in the next.
It was still enjoyable, however not as much as first season. Here are my takes on both seasons with lots o’ pics and perhaps a little wit:
