I watched Jacob’s Ladder tonight.
This horror movie starring Tim Robbins freaking rocked my socks off. It is everything a frame story should be, where you don’t know where the frames begin and end, blurring reality with delusions and shattering any semblance of linear time. It is also fairly deep and poignant, with allusions to the bible and an interesting take on Heaven and Hell. Chalk full of drugs, hallucinations, demons, Vietnam flashbacks, and conspiracies, what more could a person want from a horror film?
